Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan it is located in the Potohar plateau in the northwest of the country. The clean and beautiful city was built during 1960s and became the second capital of Pakistan replacing the original capital Karachi. Unlike other cities of Pakistan, Islamabad is a modern and well organized city. The entire city is divided into several sectors and enclaves with each sector having its own shopping areas and recreational parks.
The Islamabad museum has a long historical importance. It represents the culture and heritage of Pakistan from ages. The national museum of Islamabad is also considered as a national monument representing different provinces and territories of Pakistan. As you visit you will become mesmerized of its architectural excellence. The blooming flower shaped museum represents Pakistan’s progress as a developing country. The four petals are the epitome of NWFP, Balochistan, Punjab and Sindh. The stars and the crescent designed on the walls of the museum represent Pakistan’s flag. The entire monument stands representing the culture and civilization of the country. The museum has been dedicated to those who sacrificed their lives for a progressive Pakistan.

The museum has been beautifully constructed using red granite marble. Though using such marble has increased the expenditure, still the museum appears really beautiful.
